Leroy R. Davis

LUDLOW — Leroy R. Davis, 64, died June 26, 2012, at Springfield Hospital, with cancer.

He was born Jan. 24, 1948, in Springfield, the son of Ralph and Elva Davis.

He graduated from Springfield High School and earned an accounting degree from Castleton State College.

Mr. Davis served as manager of several Proctorsville and Ludlow area banks. He was active in real estate sales and rental business, building construction and remodeling, as well as several other enterprises.

He was an avid member and volunteer of Sons of the American Legion Post 36 in Ludlow.

He enjoyed hunting, golf and baseball.

Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Davis of Plymouth; his former wives, Judy Davis of Ludlow and Brenda Costello of Florida; stepchildren, Frances and Matthew Harski; three siblings, Irene Wood of Chester, Evelyn Lockwood, Albert Davis, both of Proctorsville; and his caregiver, Christina Temple of Wallingford.

Mr. Davis was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Shirley Gray.

The graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, in Hillcrest Cemetery in Proctorsville and followed by a reception and potluck buffet at Ludlow Legion Post 36.
