PROCTORSVILLE — Vermont journalist Yvonne Daley’s book, “A Mighty Storm”, chronicles the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene with photographs and stories of the people, towns and organizations that sustained losses.

On Sunday, July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., Daley will speak about the resilience of Vermonters in the face of adversity and read selections from her book at Crows Corner Bakery Cafe in Proctorsville.

Residents of Proctorsville and Cavendish were among the many people impacted by Irene, and the book is a reminder of the Vermont spirits, people reaching out to one another and solving problems creatively by working together.

Proceeds from the sale of books will go directly to local funds for area residents who sustained losses in the storm.

Daley will read, tell stories and take questions.

Coffee and desserts will be available.

Crows Corner is located at 73 Depot St. in Proctorsville.
