Ten new citizens take oath

BURLINGTON — The United States has 10 new citizens who took the citizenship oath in Vermont’s city on Independence Day.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services held the special July 4 ceremony at the Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington.
Federal Judge Christina C. Reiss administered the oath to the new citizens who are from seven countries including, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mexico, South Sudan and Sweden.
U.S. Senator Patrick J. Leahy and Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger also spoke at the event.
