Libraries host computer coaching
July 10,2012
The Weathersfield Proctor Library of Ascutney and the Windsor Public Library are offering a new computer skills training program this summer. The libraries will host one-on-one computer coaching sessions through a collaboration with Vermont Telephone Company (Vtel) and they are free and open to the public.
All sessions are one-hour long and they tailored to an individual’s needs. No prior computer experience is necessary and each site has computers available for people to use.
“We are excited to host computer coaching sessions sponsored by VTel. More and more people are finding that they need computer skills in order to compete in the job market and many times to search for a job and submit employment applications.” said Nancy Tusinski, Director of the Weathersfield Proctor Library.
Trainings are available in Windsor on Mondays and in Ascutney on Thursdays. To sign up for a training call 885-9222 or go to www.vermontel.com/tech to see the summer schedule.
VTel is a small family-owned telephone company, serving 14 rural Vermont villages, based in Springfield and in 2010 received funding to expand broadband access throughout Vermont.
