LUDLOW — The Black River Valley Republicans will host a meet and greet tonight at 7 p.m. at Ludlow Town Hall. The event will feature State Treasurer candidate Wendy Wilton and Congressional candidate Mark Donka.

Wilton has been Rutland City’s treasurer since 2007 and is a former state senator. Her primary goals as treasurer are greater independence, transparency and accountability to the State Treasurer’s office and a focus on the state’s long term pension liabilities.

Donka is seeking to replace U.S. Rep. Peter Welch in Washington. He believes in smaller government and less federal control of the states and protecting religious, political and civil liberties.

There will also be a party caucus for Justice of the Peace nominations.

All residents, regardless of political affiliations are welcome.
