The forecast for today is for cooler weather but plenty of sunshine.

After a few days of rain and thundershowers -- some severe -- today will be like the eye of the storm. There's more on the way after today's short break.

Today should be in the 70s and low 80s in most places with much of Vermont seeing plenty of sunshine.
