Manchester concert will be Aug. 7
July 27,2012
MANCHESTER — The next concert in the summer series presented by the Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce will feature the Buskers on Aug. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Applejack Field in the Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park.
The band features violin, piano, accordion, guitars and drums.
The chamber described their music as a “lively fusion of original acoustic folk and pop, New Orleans-influenced rhythm and blues and jazz with lots of fiddle” that is “spunky and energetic.”
The concerts are free and open to the public.
In past year, they took place on the town green but this year, they have been moved to Applejack Field to avoid the noise of road construction. Road work is being done at night to reduce the inconvenience for businesses and residents.
In case of rain, Riley Rink will host the concert.
Those who plan to attend are encouraged to bring a chair but also reminded that no dogs are allowed on Applejack Field.
For more information, call the chamber at 362-6313.
