Vermont State police say two people are dead following a head-on crash on Route 105 in Jay.

Police say that at about 9 a.m. Sunday 82-year-old Edmund Moran and 76-year-old Margaret Moran, both of Jay, died after the car they were in was hit by another car that crossed the center line.

Police say the car that crossed the center line was driven by 26-year-old Alexis Gabree, of St. Albans.

Edmund Moran was pronounced dead at the scene. Margaret Moran died later at a hospital.

Gabree was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
