TOPSHAM — Vermont State Police say a 9-year-old boy has been hospitalized with head injuries after he was struck by a car while playing in a front yard.
A spokeswoman at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., said Bryce Ilsley was in stable condition Saturday morning.
Police said a car traveling in Topsham failed to round a curve Friday night. The car went through an intersection and into a ditch, striking the boy, police said.
The driver Kristopher Kingsbury, 28, of Topsham was arrested on charges of drunken driving and gross negligent operation of a vehicle.
