BRATTLEBORO — A Vermont man recently found not guilty of domestic assault is now accused of growing 67 marijuana plants at his home.
While on break from his trial on Aug. 14, 26-year-old Joshua Stratton of Newfane was charged with marijuana cultivation and possession. His fiancée, Lauretta Sheridan, was charged with aiding in the commission of a felony after allegedly helping him care for the plants while he was in jail.
Stratton had been in jail since June, the Brattleboro Reformer reports. He was acquitted of aggravated domestic assault. A mistrial was declared on a second domestic assault charge. Vt.
