The Sept. 13 Herald editorial, “Steady in a crisis,” illustrates well the foreign policy differences between President Obama and Mitt Romney.

As the editorial stated, Romney said that “the Obama administration actually sympathized with the attackers of our Benghazi consulate.”

Romney’s claim is a crude lie by a desperate candidate who will say anything to be elected. This is right in line with Romney’s repeated lies that President Obama has gutted the work requirement for public assistance and that he has apologized around the world for our nation. Both are despicable falsehoods.

In contrast, the editorial notes that President Obama has conducted a foreign policy “characterized by steadiness, restraint and skill.”

As election day approaches, we can expect more deception from Romney and Paul “Marathon Man” Ryan. Both are unfit for leadership and undeserving of our votes.
