The letter which characterized killing an animal as sadistic has it all wrong.

No responsible hunter kills for “fun.” It is the honor and privilege to harvest the game animal to share with our family and friends. It is our tradition and constitutional right in the state of Vermont to hunt. That is how the Founding Fathers saw hunting, as a right.

Please note that hunters fund by far most of the conservation efforts in the state, including deer. How much have you spent to ensure the continuing existence of wildlife? Try buying a hunting license.
