Man arrested for

vehicle break-ins

Vermont State Police arrested a West Rutland man on Friday after he alledgedly broke into two vehicles in the parking lot of Dicks Sporting Goods in Rutland Town.

Adam Cijka, 33, of West Rutland was arrested outside the nearby Hannaford supermarket after witnesses saw him reaching into two vehicles and stealing property, police said. The items taken were not identified.

Cijka was charged for damaging one of the vehicles, petty larceny and violating his conditions of release. He was lodged at the Rutland jail for lack of a $25,000 bail.
