ALBURGH — Vermont State Police say a pickup truck towing a trailer with fence posts lost control and crashed into a utility pole in Alburgh, shutting down the road and knocking out power to more than 400 customers.

The crash on U.S. Route 2 closed the road for about four hours Friday morning.

The pole has been fixed, and power was restored by Vermont Electric Co-op.
