PITTSFORD - Flames consumed a garage at Giddings' Kubota tractor dealership on Route 7 today.
No one was injured in the fire, which started in a building at the back of the property just south of town.
But the yellow-sided, tin-roofed garage, which housed a number of tractors and snowmobiles was completely destroyed before firefighters from four towns were able to bring the conflagration under control.
Pittsford Assistant Fire Chief Butch Shaw said the cause of the fire was not immediately known.Recent Vimeo VideoRICHARD'S POOR ALMANACK: On this day in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln delivers short speech in Gettysburg, Pa.; in 1984, a Pemex LNG facility destroyed by series of gas explosions, 600 people are killed; in 1998, Senate builds fire under Bill Clinton.Rutland Herald content editor Rich Alcott uploads historic data direct to your head: On this day in...RICHARD'S POOR ALMANACK: On this day in 1831 – Independent South American super-state, Gran Colombia, dissolved; 1856 - Fort Buchanan built to control Apache warriors; 1970 - William Calley Jr. goes on trial after 1968 massacre at My Lai, Vietnam.Rutland Herald content editor Rich Alcott uploads historic data direct to your head: On this day in...RICHARD'S POOR ALMANACK: Wisconsin Sen.
