    Driver crashes into parked car

MARLBORO — A two-car crash occurred when police said a driver took her eyes off the road to enjoy a mountain view.

Kathleen Roy, 47, of Rutland drifted out of a travel lane and struck a vehicle parked off the road, according to police. The accident occurred on Route 9 East near the Hogback Mountain Gift Shop on Saturday.

The parked car sustained damage to the rear driver’s side, police said. Roy was not injured but was issued a ticket for the crash.
