Long Trail event features France visit
DORSET — Anharad Edson, arts chairwoman at the Long Trail School, will make a presentation about her summer travels to Les Tapies, France, at 7 p.m. on Nov. 28. at the school’s Whalen Common Room.
The room will be transformed into a French café for the talk, during which Edson will discuss how she worked with international colleagues on global mindedness in art curricula. Following her studies, Edson had the chance to advance her own art skills at an art educator retreat.
Edson’s presentation will use anecdotes and visual material to focus on the location, art, food and relationships made during her trip. She is eager to share her enthusiasm about the trips highlights, from the small artist colony in the south of France to the local markets and art exhibits, with the audience.
The event is free and open to the public and visitors can sample French pastries and coffee.
