We think giving blood is important because it can save people’s lives. For example, several years ago, our Dad had a bad injury and after surgery, the doctors couldn’t stop the bleeding. It took several days and a few more operations before they were able to stop the bleeding. He needed lots of blood. Because of generous donors, he was able to live.

Thanks to those donors, we are able to do many things together. We go on vacations, watch television and talk each night when we go to bed. He helps us with our homework and our music. We love our Dad and things wouldn’t be the same if he wasn’t here. We are very thankful that people gave blood when our Dad needed it. Please consider that when you give blood, you could be saving someone as special to you as our Dad is to us.
