Fla. man charged

with stealing car

A Florida man has been jailed after police said he stole a car off Killington Road in Killington.

Vermont State Police reported that Buddy Curry, 38, of Defuniak Springs, Fla., stole a car belonging to Camerson Smith, 24, of Rutland Town at about 2:38 a.m. Saturday.

The stolen car was located in Rutland, where police said it was being driven by Curry.

Curry was charged with grand larceny and jailed for lack of $25,000 bail. A criminal court appearance is scheduled for Monday at 12:30 p.m.
