• Why Republicans lost elections

    Let me see if I can understand the Republican Party position. We should cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and most of the safety net for the elderly, children and the unemployed. In return, the very rich will not pay a penny more in taxes.

    Well, I guess thereís fairness in that, but I canít find it.

    Incidentally, Grover Norquist, who made Republicans sign a pledge not to raise taxes, was not elected to anything, so why is he telling Congess what to do? From what I understand he is a lobbyist for the super-rich.

    Are the Republicans still wondering why they got drubbed in the recent election?
