Support for film appreciated
The premiere screening of our documentary “And They Kept Silence” about the Carthusian monastery on Mount Equinox was held Friday evening here in Rutland. A standing-room-only crowd of over 200 people filled Tuttle Hall at College of St. Joseph to see the first footage ever shot inside the only Carthusian monastery in North America. Following the screen, the audience engaged in lively conversation with our panel featuring executive director of the monks’ foundation, Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, as well as our co-producers, Dr. Robert Gershon and Marquis Walsh.
We are grateful to Monsignor and the monastery’s prior for choosing our video production company, Video Unlimited, to tell their story. Thanks go to Knights of Columbus, Rutland, for sponsoring the premiere screening, Stay Tuned String Band for entertaining the crowd, our co-producers Bob and Marquis, and the Rutland Herald and other local publications for supporting this event through well-written articles. Most importantly, our sincerest appreciation to the monks of the Charterhouse of the Transfiguration for devoting their lives to all of us through prayer.
