• Westminster woman arrested for heroin possession

    BRATTLEBORO ó A Westminster woman was arrested for having 10 bags of heroin in her car during a motor vehicle stop.

    State police pulled over Lela Loomis, 36, on Western Avenue in Brattleboro last Friday for having an unassigned Vermont registration plate. Trooper Michael Studin found the illegal drug in her possession during a vehicle search, police said.

    She was charged with heroin possession and is scheduled to be arraigned at criminal court in Brattleboro Feb. 5.
