VERNON - A Vermont construction company is planning a 6,000-square-foot solar project and an expansion of its metal-fabrication business.
Renaud Brothers in Vernon makes structural steel.
Plans call for a 75-kilowatt solar-power project to be done by March. The panels would be tied to the electrical grid.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports (http://bit.ly/SlYE2c) the company has received a certificate of public good for the solar project from the Vermont Public Service Board.
Regarding the other project, plans call for a 3,000-square-foot addition to a 5,000-square-foot building. That will allow steel storage and prefabrication to take place under roof.
