    BENNINGTON — Ann F. Winslow, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her residence following a long illness.

    She was born Jan. 13, 1918, in Bennington, the daughter of Frank P. and Rosalie (Durand) O’Toole.

    She received her education in the Bennington schools, and was also a 1934 graduate of St. Joseph’s Business College in Bennington. She later attended Bay Path Institute in Springfield, Mass.

    She married Ellis Winslow at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington on June 19, 1937. He died Dec. 7, 2009.

    In her younger years, she worked at various stores in Bennington.

    She was a member of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church. She and her husband were active in the fundraising to build the former Bennington Catholic High School.

    Following her husband’s retirement in 1976, they traveled throughout the United States and Canada, and spent winters in Florida where they enjoyed swimming and playing golf.

    Survivors include two daughters, Joan Foster and Carol Harbour, both of Bennington; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Jean Winslow who died in 1939, and by two sisters, Margaret Daigneault and Frances Adams.

    The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.

    Burial will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery.

    Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
