    NORTH CLARENDON — Alice Stannard Mulberry, 101, of North Clarendon, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at Our House at Park Terrace in Rutland.

    She was born on June 28, 1911, in South Dorset, Vt., the daughter of Henry and Jessie (Dunbar) Stannard.

    Mrs. Mulberry attended Dorset schools and graduated from the Rutland Business College.

    On November 24, 1937, she married Carl Oscar Walter Mulberry. He died on December 31, 1972.

    She was employed by the Marble Bank for many years.

    Mrs. Mulberry was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Rutland Senior Council, and enjoyed her volunteer work with AARP.

    Survivors include two sisters, Carrie Squires of Manchester, Vt., and Susan Fleming of Manchester Center, Vt.; a godchild, Joe Carlson; close nephew Joe Mylott, his wife Lindy and their daughter Ashley, whom Alice was especially fond of; several other nieces and nephews; and her extended family at Park Terrace.

    She was predeceased by three sisters, Ada Jones, Sarah Mylott and Mable Stannard; and a brother, Henry Stannard.

    Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 1-2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., in the Tossing Funeral Home.

    Burial will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland.
