Alcohol suspected in Stockbridge death
STOCKBRIDGE — A Maryland woman’s death Saturday appears to be the result of consuming too much alcohol, according to Vermont State Police.
Jenna Stone, 22, of California, Md., was pronounced dead Saturday morning by paramedics who tried to resuscitate her at a cabin that Stone and some friends had rented for President’s Day weekend.
Police said that Stone was seen drinking large amounts of alcohol Friday night.
When friends tried to wake her the next morning, she was reportedly unresponsive.
The office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the Windsor County State’s Attorney were contacted and an autopsy and toxicology were ordered.
Police said there is no evidence of drug use or suspicious activity and no foul play is suspected.
