Franklin H. Sulham

PITTSFIELD — Franklin H. “Fluffy” Sulham, 80, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his home.

He was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Pittsfield, the son of Frank C. and Mary (Westcott) Sulham.

He served in the U.S. Army and was married to Gail Severance in 1991.

Mr. Sulham was a logger and had worked at Phyles & Rice, then Maynard Auto in Rutland and Bethel Mills until retiring.

He was a member of Pittsfield Federated Church, the American Legion and Ed Larkin Contra Dancers.

He enjoyed woodworking in his shop.

Survivors include two siblings, Arthur Sulham of Stockbridge and Olive Tracy of Windsor; his companion, Phyllis Densmore of Chelsea; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sulham was predeceased by his wife and two sisters, Eunice Mills and Roberth Sulham.

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at Pittsfield Federated Church, with the Rev. Howard Gunter officiating.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in Pittsfield Village Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
