On Sunday, March 24, I was fortunate to be a volunteer at the Mini Golf Madness at the Rutland Free Library. After playing 18 holes throughout the library, children and their families were invited to many activities offered in the Fox Room. These included face-painting, crafts, exploration experiences sponsored by Wonderfeet and wood projects sponsored by Home Depot.

It brought such joy to my heart to watch children interacting with their parents building a birdhouse, toolbox or fire truck; or discovering how to juggle using scarves, or building tiers with wooden blocks and rolling tennis balls down rain gutters. Sounds like good old-fashioned play.

The room was surrounded by families engaging with each other. Thank you to the Rutland Free Library for such a meaningful experience. It was truly an event enjoyed by all.
