Vermont legislators are debating whether or not we have a right to know what’s in the food we eat and feed our families. Genetically engineered or modified foods are becoming more and more prevalent in our foods every year.

Approximately 70 to 80 percent of processed foods available in U.S. grocery stores likely contain some genetically engineered materials. At the same time, the number of autoimmune issues continues to climb at an alarming rate.

More than 50 other countries already have GMO labeling laws. Please contact your state Legislature representatives and let them know that you would like to see genetically modified/engineered foods labeled as such. It is an important issue for our health and the health of our kids.

Please don’t procrastinate or wait for others to do this. It is up to each of us to speak up before it is too late.
