    Take more

    responsibility

Just thinking the other day, youíre right, you could smell my brain smoldering but seriously, if the federal government cuts back funding to the states because of the deficit, than is it not right to expect the states to raise taxes to keep the same level of services?

If this is so than why do we think everything, including taxes, will be the same every year? Obviously, we are not thinking and have not been for some time. Perhaps it is time that we examine our personal, state and federal purchasing practices and determine if we really need something or is it just a want.

Also, we need to couple that with the responsibility families have for taking care of their own and work together as neighbors, friends, legislatures and families to reduce the government to being a pseudo-family and build strong families so we can take care more of ourselves and not government intervention.
