PROCTORSVILLE — A local man was jailed Monday night after a single-vehicle crash on Route 103 near the intersection with Greven Road Extension, police said.
Vermont State Police arrested Caleb Palmer of Proctorsville after the crash. His 1998 Jeep Cherokee was destroyed.
Police said Palmer was not injured and that he was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, possessing cocaine, driving after his license was suspended and violating conditions of release.
He was held at the Springfield prison for lack of $2,500 bail.
Police said the crash was caused in part by Palmer’s intoxication.MORE IN This Just InTODAY'S WEATHER MINUTE: Rutland Herald content editor Rich Alcott shares local weather information and easily digestible news tidbits: A fiery pit nicknamed the 'Gate of Hell' in the Karakum desert in Turkmenistan has been burning for 40 years. 0Rutland Herald content editor Rich Alcott shares local weather information and easily digestible...
