    All welcome to legislative recap

Now that the 2013 Vermont legislative session has ended, I would like to thank all of the legislators of Rutland County for their time and efforts serving our communities and state in Montpelier this year.

On Tuesday, May 28, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a free and informative event in the Rutland Free Library’s Fox Room called, “Did Your Legislator Vote For You?” The Rutland County Republicans have invited Rob Roper of the Ethan Allen Institute to present an overview of the legislative session through the roll call votes of significant bills on topics including spending and taxes, property rights, the wind debate, and more. All of the county’s legislators have been invited.

Because this information can be difficult to find in one place, this is an opportunity for the community to gather and be able to respectfully consider the results of the session together.

    All are welcome.

    TERRY BURKE
