    CASTLETON — The Vermont Governor’s Institute on the Arts will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a student-created samba parade at 10:30 a.m. Thursday on Main Street.

    The parade will include giant, handmade puppets and a samba band composed of students and staff.

    The Governor’s Institute on the Arts is a two-week summer arts program for high school students in grades 10 through 12. The program is being held this year at Castleton State College.
