Art need not be anything strictly recognizable nor need it be “serious.” The installations currently on display in the Main Street Park are fun, whimsical and quite different when viewed from various angles and perspectives. I have very fond memories of taking my young children to Depot Park when Farrow’s “Leash” was first installed. They have fond memories of playing and crawling all over it. I expect the children now exploring the sculpture in Main Street Park will experience the same thing. Thanks to the Chaffee for adding some bright color and whimsy to the local landscape.
