RICHMOND — They’ll be going around in circles this coming week in the Vermont town of Richmond, as residents celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Old Round Church.

The major events of a yearlong celebration of the ecumenical landmark are being held Friday through Sunday.

Among those putting in an appearance for the festivities will be Gov. Peter Shumlin on Friday evening.

Also on Friday there will be music from a country rock band called Phil ‘n’ the Blanks.

Music and other festivities continue Saturday, with a special ecumenical worship service Sunday.
