Man charged with possession
CHARLESTOWN — A Westminster man spent a night in detox at Springfield Hospital after police said he was jumping in front of traffic on Charlestown Road.
Jason Martin, 37, was cited Aug. 15 for possession of cocaine and “bath salts” after being restrained by a Charlestown police officer at the old toll bridge and taken into protective custody by Springfield police.
Police said they found a small amount of cocaine and bath salts on Martin, who they said was incapacitated from drug use. He was cited to appear Oct. 8 in Windsor criminal court.
