One of the longest covered bridges in the United States, which connects New Hampshire and Vermont, is undergoing repairs soon.

The two-lane Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge, which spans the Connecticut River, is going down to a single lane for up to eight weeks starting the week of Sept. 9.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation said the travel width will be restricted to 10 feet during the repair period. Drivers using the bridge can expect delays.

The 449-foot-long wooden covered bridge was originally built in 1866 and was rebuilt in 1989.
