• Police: Search for missing Townshend woman yields no new leads

    The Vermont State Police issued the following press release this morning:

    The Vermont State Police continued their search for a missing Townshend woman.

    On Saturday, September 14, 2013, State Police utilized the Vermont Civil Air Patrol in an effort to locate Helen Holmes, age 59 of Townshend, Vermont. The Vermont Civil Air Patrol searched the Jamaica and Townshend areas with negative results.

    Holmes was reported missing on Friday, September 6, 2013 and was last seen that morning at 9:00 AM. Holmes is described as 5'6" tall and 150 lbs. She has blonde hair and is possibly operating Vermont registration DAK316, a 2010 Subaru Forester red in color. At this time, Holmes' whereabouts are unknown.

    The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the disappearance of Helen Holmes and urge anyone with information to contact Vermont State Police at 802-254-2382.
