BURLINGTON - Vermont's lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives is moving his Burlington office.

The office of U.S. Rep. Peter Welch is moving from downtown to the city's South End where it will be located in the building that was built in 1894 as the Queen City Cotton Mill.

The building is the former home of General Dynamics and the current home of Efficiency Vermont, Vermont's energy efficiency utility.

The building harnesses geothermal energy for cooling and has an overall 99 percent Energy Star rating.

Welch calls the Innovation Center a model of energy efficiency and a flagship for some of the latest efficiency technology.
