• Same people, same results

    The news is calling it day one of the government shutdown! The American government shut down a long time ago.

    The news is also reporting that Congress will hear it from the voters. That doesn’t even worry those serving in Congress. In 2012 Congress had a 12 percent approval rating and American voters re-elected them at a rate of over ninety percent.

    Congress is not worried about what the American voter thinks. Why should they? They own us and they know it.

    Those in Congress know that each state will re-elect their own; which means the vast majority of this current Congress will be re-elected.

    If we really, really want change we have to vote them all out, including our own. I can hear the screams of “Not Bernie ... Not Bernie” already. If you are in Congress you are part of the problem, not the solution.

    If Americans keep voting for the same people, they shouldn’t be upset when they get the same results.
