    Norwich dedicates

    athletic facility

NORTHFIELD — Norwich University has dedicated its renovated athletic facility.

The Haynes Family Stadium at Sabine Field is named for Fred Haynes 1958 graduate and his wife who donated a generous gift to the project, which included the $6 million renovation of the field.

The renovation created a multi-sport, multi-activity stadium that features a synthetic turf field that will meet NCAA regulations for football, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s lacrosse.

The athletic facility was dedicated Friday during homecoming festivities.

The renovated field was inaugurated last month prior to the Norwich football team’s home opener against St. Lawrence University.
