    LUDLOW — Michael Anton “Mike” Rombotis, 75, died Oct. 28, 2013, at The Gill Home in Ludlow.

    He was born Sept. 14, 1938, in New York City, the son of Lee and Jane (Oakely) Rombotis.

    He lived in Vermont for more than 50 years, and in Ludlow for the past 30 years.

    He was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed The New York Times, The World Almanac, The Sierra Club magazine, Save the Redwoods and National Geographic. His favorite sport was baseball, and the statistics of baseball. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hiking in earlier years, and dining out.

    Survivors include two cousins, Marty and Mary Rombotis of Carlsbad, Calif.

    There will be a celebration of his life at The Gill Home in Ludlow, Thursday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
