CSC to offer 3 new grad degrees
its grad programs
CASTLETON — Castleton State College will add three graduate programs to its academic offerings.
Students will be able to pursue graduate degrees in music education, theater and education with a specialization in mathematics.
All three programs are accepting applications.
The education degree will be offered in the spring. It is a 36-credit, one-year program designed to bridge the gap between math and math education theory.
The master’s degree in theater will be offered beginning with the summer session. The program will be “unlike any other in Northern New England,” a press release said, and will prepare students for professional theater work.
The master’s degree in music education is scheduled to begin next fall. The program will emphasize real-world application with courses taught by experienced music educators over a 30-credit curriculum.
In addition to those programs, CSC also offers master’s degrees in education: curriculum and instruction, special education (non-licensure), and accounting.
