    WHITEHALL, N.Y. — Elizabeth L. (Betty) Brancati, 91, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the Haynes House of Hope in Granville, following a short illness.

    Born November 18, 1921, in Richmond, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late William and Amelia LaRock Levesque.

    Betty was a high school graduate. For many years, she worked at the shirt factory in Whitehall.

    She enjoyed playing bingo, camping with her husband and dog, and attending basket parties. Her favorite pastime was painting pictures, which she enjoyed giving to family and friends.

    She was a member of the Fair Haven (Vt.) Auxiliary.

    Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Dennis J. Brancati, who died November 18, 2009; four brothers, Paul, Robert, Maurice and George; and two sisters, Helen Anna and Pauline.

    She is survived by one brother, Clem Levesque and his wife, Mary and her special niece, Helen Donaldson and her husband, Bill and many more nieces and nephews.

    Family and friends may call at the Jillson Funeral Home, Inc., 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church in Fair Haven, Vermont, with the Rev. Antony Pittappillil, SDV, pastor, officiating.

    Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall.

    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation in Betty’s name to the Haynes House of Hope, 7187 Route 149, Granville, NY 12832.
