    BURLINGTON - The head of Vermont's flagship university and its largest power company are set to announce a major agreement on educational, environmental and economic issues.

    University of Vermont President Thomas Sullivan and Green Mountain Power CEO Mary Powell are planning to announce the details of the agreement tooday at UVM.

    Officials are calling the agreement an important milestone in the way that the public and private sector can cooperate to advance the interests of the state.

    The announcement is set for 2 p.m.
