    DORSET — Some unusual ways to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday will be seen in Dorset today.

    As part of an annual tradition, the Dorset Conservation Commission is hosting a volunteer work party. Those who wish to participate are asked to gather at 9 a.m. at the Pinnacle Tower to pile and burn brush.

    A notice announcing the work party said it was part of an “ongoing effort to open up the views and restore this quite unique property to its former grandeur.”

    Participants are asked to wear work clothes and gloves, and park at the pullout on the right after driving up Pinnacle Lane.

    Friday, the third annual “Dorset Parade of the Glowing Tractors” will start at 5:45 p.m. The parade leaves from the parking lot of the H.N. Williams store and proceeds to the Dorset Village Green and then back.

    Tractors of many shapes and sizes, adorned with festive lights, will be featured. Spectators are asked to find a spot along the route or at the Village Green between 5:30 and 6 p.m.
