    MIDDLE GRANVILLE, N.Y. — Wilma Mae VanGuilder, 72, died Dec. 12, 2013, at her home following a long illness.

    She was born July 1, 1941, in Hampton, N.Y., the daughter of William and Nellie (Holcomb) Pope.

    She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardens.

    Survivors include her children: Rosemary Jeandell of Danby, Vt., Raymond and Tammy, both of Granville, William of Manchester, Vt., Charles of Middle Granville, Rebecca Jones, also of Granville; and a stepdaughter, Alice of North Granville; 30 grandchildren and many great- and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Richard Hurlburt and George Hurlburt, both of North Granville and Linda Williams of Whitehall.

    Wilma was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Alex VanGuilder; a son, Alex; and her siblings: William Pope, David Pope and Rose St. Louis.

    A funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY. Burial will be in North Granville Cemetery.

    Friends may call Monday, Dec. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
