BURLINGTON - A Vermont group that donates cars to the needy is seeking vehicle donations.

The Good News Garage in Burlington is seeking drop-off donations by Dec. 31 when the organization will host its Annual Car Donation Drop-off Event between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The staff will guide donors through signing over the title to their cars.

And for people who can't make it to the event, they can drop off or mail a signed title and set of keys. The organization will pick up or tow donated vehicles free of charge.

The organization will accept any condition car, truck, or van and all donations qualify for a tax deduction up to fair market value.

Cars that are able to be repaired are awarded to low income families in the community.
