BENNINGTON — Joan Snow, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center, following a long illness.
Born in South Cambridge, N.Y., Oct. 14, 1938, she was the son of Frank and Etta (Crandall) Sawtell.
She was a 1956 graduate of Cambridge Central School.
On Sept. 11, 1964, she married Frank W. Snow Jr. in Cambridge.
In earlier years, Mrs. Snow was employed as a bookkeeper at the Mammoth Mart department store in Bennington and later in the sales department at Bennington Potters.
She was a member of Women of the Moose, VFW Post 1332 Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and Unit 13 American Legion Auxiliary, all of Bennington.
Survivors include her husband of Bennington; two children, Debbie McLean of Wyoming and Richard Setzer of Shaftsbury; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, James Sawtell of Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, Frank Snow III, two brothers and four sisters.
The graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, in Park Lawn Cemetery.
