I want to express my anger over the recent picture of a heroin user on a bottle of maple syrup, published by Rolling Stone magazine. I am not a maple producer nor am I employed by any producer, but I am proud to live in Vermont.

No one is denying that Vermont has a drug problem, but so do a lot of other states. Does this give Rolling Stone the right to bash our maple industry, or any other industry for that matter? I think not. If it were up to me, I would love to see the maple industry in Vermont throw a major lawsuit at this crap magazine and maybe put them out of business. Here’s something to think about: How many drug users has this magazine published over its history? Let’s hammer this publication.
